Short Plate (#GMP3308 또는 #1653308)를 Spacer Plate와 결합하여 Polyacrylamide Gel을 만들기 위한 Gel 판을 만드는데 사용합니다. 이러한 Plate는 Mini-PROTEAN Tetra System Casting Frame and Stand 또는 Mini-PROTEAN 3 Multi-Casting Chamber를 사용하여 Gel을 만드는데 사용할 수 있습니다.
IPTG (isopropyl-beta-D-thiogalactopyranoside) is an analog of lactose. It inactivates the lac repressor and induces the synthesis of beta-galactosidase, an enzyme that promotes lactose utilization. This product is a 50 mg/ml solution by dissolving 250mg of IPTG in 5 ml of distilled H2O. IPTG is used to induce the expression of cloned genes under the control of the lac operon. It is used in conjunction with X-Gal to determine the lac phenotype in blue/white colony screening.
